Which is better, independent or national?  Who can I trust to sell my house?  
As independent agents ourselves, our opinion goes without saying.  Our opinion, however, is not based on self-bias; there is a lot more to it than that.  As experienced estate agents, we know what it takes to sell a house for the best possible price, and to the best possible person.  Here are our top reasons why we think independent agents have ‘the edge’ over nationals:
We are flexible and can adapt to our local market –  in a nutshell, this means that we are not in any way bound by nationwide corporate rules and regulations like the ‘big boys’ are.  A very simple example of this is with viewings…. How many large agents do viewings into the evening and over the whole weekend? As an independent agent, we are able to fit in with our customers, rather than expect them to fit in with us.
You are our client, not just a number – we are passionate about two things…. people and property.   
As independents, we are able to work more closely with our clients and get to know them as individual people; in fact, some become friends.  We are extremely proud of our hard-earned reputation and brand, and will ‘go the extra mile’ to make sure our clients are happy.



We offer exactly the same national website coverage – yes, you read that correctly.  Just because we are a local independent agent this doesn’t mean we don’t have the same national coverage as our larger counterparts.  We use exactly the same portals, such as Rightmove, Zoopla and PrimeLocation, to get your property noticed nationwide, and even worldwide.

Wealth of local geographical knowledge – independents usually have a local team who have a genuine passion for their area, and know them like the back of their hands.  We know the local market conditions, what works and what doesn’t. We know all the areas, roads, districts and villages. We know which areas would be better suited to families, or which areas would suit couples – we may have even lived in these areas ourselves.  In our case, we all have a love and passion for Cornwall and all it has to offer. 



We don’t tie you in with long contracts – unlike the larger national agents, we don’t believe we have to tie you in to an unnecessarily long contract in order to keep your business.  Why would we?  We know we offer the absolute best service and marketing possible, so why do we need to force you to stay with us?

No sale – no fee and no hidden costs – we are totally upfront about our costs, and you will find no misleading small-print to lead you ‘off track’.  We know we offer the best service we can and we only charge when we sell.  We are 100% motivated to get the sale you want at the price you want.
