Camel View is a stylish and modern barn that has recently been converted. Set on a working farm, yet tucked away, it provides a base from where you can explore our wonderful North Cornwall! The property is the ideal getaway for couples or a small family and has the most wonderful views of the Camel Estuary from the rear garden! There is a garden furniture for dining alfresco and the property also has solar!
Camel View is situated about half a mile from the A39 near Wadebridge and its supermarkets, independent shops and of course The Camel Trail!
The Area: Edmonton is on the fringe of Wadebridge, one of North Cornwall's main market towns and gateway to the Camel Trail, now the third largest attraction in the whole of Cornwall. This centrally located town has much to offer visitors of all ages and interests all year round. Edmonton has a great pub called The Quarryman - famous for its sizzling steaks!
Walking: The Camel Trail provides easy walking for young and old, with beautiful countryside all around it and the Trail being flat. For the more adventurous, Bodmin Moor is only 15 miles away and has many places of interest along with some challenging walking areas. Wadebridge is also on the famous Saints Way, a 16 mile cross country path, forged in ancient times by Celtic Saints between Padstow and Fowey. There are also spectacular coastal walks within a few miles of Wadebridge.
Outdoor Sports: Rock is only a few miles away and offers a wide range of watersports, including sailing, water skiing, windsurfing and paracending. There are also various riding stables in the area. Four miles away is the Cornwall Karting indoor racing track at Retallack. Not to be missed are the numerous beautiful golden beaches, all along the north coast and three golf courses close by at Trevose, Constantine and Bodmin.
Cornwall: There is so much to do in Cornwall. With its mild climate, quaint fishing villages and amazing coastline, there is something for everyone!
Trerice Manor (near Newquay) is an elaborate Elizabethan house with beautiful gardens and a lawnmower museum.
Near St Austell you have the Wheal Martyn Museum and the famous Eden Project. Tintagel boasts its ruins and legends of King Arthur.
For family days out you have Springfields Fun and Pony Centre at St Columb, Crealy Adventure Park at Wadebridge, Paradise Park at Hayle and the National Seal Sanctuary near Gweek.
There are some lovely gardens to explore around Cornwall and some of these include Trebah Gardens near Falmouth, Trevarno Estate and Gardens at Helston and the Lost Gardens of Heligan near St Austell.
