LOCATION & TRANSPORT LINKS
Located in South Cornwall, Lostwithiel is conveniently located close to the major transport links of the A30 and A38 that connect the county to the rest of the country. The central train line runs through Lostwithiel, connecting to Plymouth (30 mins), Exeter (90 mins), Bristol (2 hours) and London (4 hours). Cornwall’s Newquay Airport is just a 30 minute drive.
The popular coastal town of Fowey is a 10 minute drive where the Estuary meets the sea, making it a popular location for sailing. Cornwall’s administrative hub of Bodmin is a 10 minute drive and the Cornish Capital, Truro is a 30 minute drive.

If a trip to the local pub or a meal out with the family is on the agenda, you won’t be disappointed! The famous Globe Inn serves up some great ales with a food menu full of pub classics. The Kings Arms doubles up as a bar and restaurant with an Indian inspired food menu. The Royal Oak is the place to visit for a great Sunday Roast whilst Trewithen Restaurant offers a contemporary experience.
The Duchy of Cornwall Nursery is just a mile up the road and boasts a menu full of locally sourced produce, serving breakfast and lunch in a lovely setting overlooking the castle. Or if a night at home is on the agenda, the local Chinese Restaurant is a popular choice as is the Fish & Chip shop to add a bit of variety.
